Portrait of Maharaja, a set of 4 silver prints, India, 19th-20th century: 

1 full-length portrait showing Shivajirao Holkar, Maharaja of Indore, seated in an interior, holding a sword and decorated with the medal of the Order of the Star of India, ca. 1900, 25.5x11.5 cm (with margins). This Maharaja was a Knight Grand Commander (GCSI) of the Order of the Star of India. A similar platinum-palladium print, attributed to Bourne & Shepherd and dated 1903, is in the Royal Collection Trust, inv. no. RCIN 2916581. Another similar print, this time attributed to Lala Deen Dayal and daated 1903, is in the Sarmaya Arts Foundation, Mumbai, inv. no. 2018.30.1(4)
1 full-length portrait of Sayajirao Gaekwad III, Maharaja of Baroda, standing in an interior, near a chair, holding a cane, adorned with several medals, 1919-1939, on cardboard inscribed "Portrait by Vernon V C°15 (?) Esplanade Road Bombay", 27.5x18 cm. This Maharaja was between 1919 and 1939 Knight Grand Commander (GCSI) of the Order of the Star of India and Knight Grand Commander (GCIE) of the Order of the Indian Empire, and wears the respective medal and collar.
