A silver incense burner, ottoman Egypt, 1840-48, mark of the craftsman Matat Ğazarosyan and "90", decorated with vegetal interlacing, an empty cartouche as well as the crescent with three stars forming the coat of arms of the governor (Wâli) of Egypt Mehemet Ali (1805-1848) which could indicate an order from the palace, 24 cm high, 495g. The decorative opulence of the object makes it a characteristic object of the "Ottoman Baroque".
