Calcite ball, Sahara, diam. 24 cm approx. Remark: This is a rare mineralisation of quartz and chalcedony. The shape and colour have been accentuated by erosion. These concretions appear at random in a 3 or 4 km2 area of the Sahara, making it a rare and unusual object.
