Remark: The first fragments of the Gibeonwere discovered in 1836 in Namibia. This meteorite crashed into the earthduring prehistoric times. It fragmented as it entered earth’s atmosphere andfragments scattered over an area of 275 km by 100 km. This very beautiful example perfectly demonstrates the Widmanstätten or Thomson structures.
