Exceptional fossilized shark Orthacanthus Senckenbergianus, Germany, Permian (260 million years old), length 206 cm

Note: Orthacanthus Senckenbergianus was a predatory shark that ruled Europe's freshwater marshes 260 million years ago. It is extremely rare to find such a well preserved shark fossil. Their skeleton is composed of cartilage that degrades quickly after the death of the individual. This specimen was discovered in Germany in the 1970s.
