1 portrait of Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV, Maharaja of Mysore, standing in an interior with a sword, leaning against a table, 27.5x22 cm (print) (damage). A similar print, platinum-palladium, attributed to Bourne & Shepherd and dated 1903, is in the Royal Collection, inv. no. RCIN 2916577 
1 portrait of Sir Jaswantsinghji Fatehsinghji, Thakur Sahib of Limbdi, standing in an interior, leaning on a chair, 28x22.5 cm (print). This Maharaja was a Knight Commander (KCIE) of the Order of the Indian Empire and wears the collar and medal. A similar platinum-palladium print, attributed to Bourne & Shepherd and dated 1903, is in the Royal Collection, inv. no. RCIN 2916643

Dégâts: déchirure et manque sur le coin supérieur droit (quand on regarde la photographie). Une partie de ce coin est restée collée sur le carton. Déchirure plus petite sur le coin inférieur gauche

Cet ensemble de plus de 90 représentations photographiques ou peintes de l'Inde au temps du Raj britannique est le troisième et dernier volet de cette vaste collection déjà proposée lors des ventes de septembre et décembre 2022. Éclectique, elle nous offre un aperçu des diverses techniques photographiques employées à cette époque. Certaines photographies sont par ailleurs attribuées notamment au studio Bourne & Shepherd ou à Lala Deen Dayal, photographes renommés de l'époque.
