Of particular interest is the account of his first meeting with Serge Diaghilev in 1923 and of the friendship that developed between them. His diaries from the years 1922, 1923 and 1924 describing his tours to Europe, specifically about the ballets Petrushka and Le Train bleu, with details of the organisation of his rehearsals and his free time. S. Lifar gives an account of his impressions and makes comments after his discussions with Serge Diaghilev and recounts his impressions about the ballets and the events that he experiences. He also writes about his rehearsals with his first teacher Bronislava Nijinska. Also included are train tickets for his journeys and tickets for ballets he attended as well as letters from his friends who admired his talents as a dancer.
