Provenance: private Swiss collection, assembled from 1932 to 1936 in Kobe (Japan). The collection was acquired under the mentorship of Maurice Champoud (1899-1981), Honorary Consul of Switzerland to Japan in Kobe, director of Nestlé's Japanese subsidiary and an expert in Japanese art. The entire collection was inherited and has remained in the family ever since.

L'acquisition de cette collection privée suisse, assemblée de 1932 à 1936 à Kobe (Japon), a été effectuée sous le mentorat de Maurice Champoud (1899-1981), consul honoraire de Suisse au Japon à Kobe, directeur de la filiale japonaise de Nestlé et expert en art japonais. L'intégralité de la collection a été transmise par héritage et est restée dans la famille depuis lors.
Les lots 1679 à 1700 font partie de cette collection.
