British artist Peter Spens has spent most of his career painting in England’s capital with other series created in New York, France and Italy with picturesque landscapes and cityscapes. His talent for fondly depicting London did not go unnoticed as he was asked to capture the energy and color through his painting of the Beach Volleyball at the 2012 Olympics from Horse Guards Parade. A visual success, the results led to an invitation to paint court side at the Rio 2016 games where his keen eye relayed the atmosphere, vibrancy, and energy of the Copacabana location on to this captivating panel. His works are on permanent exhibition at the Cranley Gallery, London, where his reputation continues to grow.
