A gilt bronze sculpture of seated Maitreya (彌勒菩薩, Mile Pusa), China, Ming Dynasty, the Buddha of the future with a serene expression, smiling slightly, wearing a crown containing the effigy of a stupa, his hair up in a bun, some strands falling over his shoulders, his earlobes elongated and adorned with earrings, his torso also adorned with various ornaments, his hands delicately holding a ruyi sceptre, 49.5 cm high

This sculpture was the subject of an expertise by Jean Eracle, dated 23 June 1975. The sculpture is identified as Mi-lo Fu-sa (Bodhisattva Maitreya) and is dated to the Ming dynasty, 16th-early 17th century. 
Similar sculptures have been offered for sale at Nagel Auktionen, lot 289, 8 December 2020 and at Sotheby's London, lot 130, 9 November 2016.

Il est écrit : "Mi-lo Fu-sa (Bodhisattva Maitreya), le prochain Bouddha à venir. Il porte une pagode dans son diadème et tient dans les mains le sceptre de cérémonie ou "Ju-i". Epoque Ming, XVIe - début XVIIe s. Bronze doré, hauteur 49 cm"
