A late 18th century German gold and enamelled snuff box marked with crowned and crossed laurels within a cartouche shaped punch, a crowned-'T' within a conforming punch and a monogram, almost certainly Hanau circa 1790 Oval form, the cover set with a central ivory miniature after Jean-Baptiste Isabey, depicting a young woman with roses in her hair and draped around her neck, on opaque turquoise enamel, both the cover and bevel with oak-leaf borders painted in autumnal tones, the sides and base similarly decorated, the sides with oak-leaf festoons within white enamel stringing, interrupted by four stylised enamel pilasters, length 9cm, weight total 150g
