Overall wear to the surface
Oxidation marks
A few surface scratches
A few traces of verdigris
The top section of one of the porticos is removable
Some parts are slightly loose
Lacks to the gilding
Felt glued to the bases
Some deformations

PLEASE NOTE that during the exhibition, the upper section of one of the archway was removed for closer inspection. Due to slight movement/deformation of the structure, it has not been possible to fit it back fully into its original position without applying force. The columns should normally sit deeper into the upper section, but attempting to reinsert them fully may put stress on the silver and risk damaging or breaking the piece. We have therefore decided not to force it back into place. The upper section is therefore currently not fully secured and should be handled with great care. Please also note that, in the link below, the folder entitled “NEW” shows the current condition/state of the archway.
