Tricolour gold and enamel snuff box, probably Hanau, 19th century, of rectangular form with rounded corners. Condition report
Very good overall condition of preservation.
The applied decoration on the lid is slightly warped, visible above the hinge, with a few small screws missing.
The enamel decoration is in good condition.
The miniature shows a few small mold spots beneath the glass, but the painted surface is in very good condition.
Two hallmarks are present on the inside of the box.
Please note: The miniature is painted on ivory. A CITES permit will be required for any transport outside Switzerland. Please check with your local customs authorities and your shipping carrier regarding applicable regulations before placing a bid. Please also note that Piguet does not provide shipping services for lots containing materials subject to CITES regulations. The buyer is responsible for arranging transport and obtaining any required permits.

Dans le cas où l’acheteur se verrait dans l’impossibilité d’obtenir les autorisations nécessaires ou d’exporter, importer ou transporter légalement un lot, il ne pourra invoquer cette difficulté pour justifier ni l’annulation de la vente, ni un retard de paiement.

Such removal is final and irreversible; the buyer waives any right of ownership, recovery or claim in respect of the removed element.
Failure to obtain the necessary authorisations, or any inability to export, import or lawfully transport a lot, shall not justify cancellation of the sale or delay in payment.
