This lot contains ivory. Commercial trade in ivory is regulated. Piguet therefore recommends that, before taking any action related to a potential purchase or handling of an ivory item, buyers seek advice on the applicable regulations and requirements. Piguet will not conduct any applications for exemption certificates, CITES licenses, registrations, or similar documents that may be required, including their renewal or update, nor arrange for import or export permits needed for international shipping. A buyer's inability or delay in obtaining the necessary documentation, or in lawfully arranging the export or import of the lot, will not justify the cancellation of the sale or a delay in payment.

Les lots contenant des matériaux issus d’espèces ou de matières protégées ou réglementées (notamment ivoire, écaille de tortue, crocodile, alligator, corail, peaux ou bois exotiques) peuvent être soumis à des restrictions d’exportation, d’importation, de transport ou de douane au titre de la CITES ou d’autres réglementations applicables. Il appartient aux acheteurs de vérifier les exigences dans leur pays applicables avant d’enchérir. Piguet Hôtel des Ventes ne pourra assister les acheteurs dans l’obtention de permis ou documents requis, ni organiser l’expédition internationale de tels lots.
Pour certains lots comportant des éléments réglementés (notamment bracelets en crocodile/alligator ou éléments en ivoire, ou autres composants amovibles soumis à restriction), le retrait préalable à l’expédition pourra être proposé à la demande de l’acheteur. Ce retrait est définitif et irréversible ; l’acheteur renonce à tout droit de propriété, de restitution ou de réclamation sur l’élément retiré.
Dans le cas où l’acheteur se verrait dans l’impossibilité d’obtenir les autorisations nécessaires ou d’exporter, importer ou transporter légalement un lot, il ne pourra invoquer cette difficulté pour justifier ni l’annulation de la vente, ni un retard de paiement.

Lots containing materials derived from protected or regulated species or materials (including ivory, tortoiseshell, crocodile, alligator, coral, exotic skins or exotic woods) may be subject to export, import, customs or shipping restrictions under CITES and other applicable regulations. Buyers are responsible for verifying all applicable requirements in their country prior to bidding. Piguet Auction House will not assist with permits, CITES documentation or international shipment of such lots.
For certain lots containing regulated elements (including crocodile or alligator straps, ivory components, or other removable restricted materials), removal prior to dispatch may be offered at the buyer’s request. Such removal is final and irreversible; the buyer waives any right of ownership, recovery or claim in respect of the removed element.
Failure to obtain the necessary authorisations, or any inability to export, import or lawfully transport a lot, shall not justify cancellation of the sale or delay in payment.
