Average overall condition.
General wear, raising and losses to the surface and details allowing for less vibrant colours or some varations to the colours.
The lacquer is fairly crackled throughout with some raised areas and pieces missing from the lacquer and paintwork. 
There is some varation to the base colour which may either be from sun exposure or interventions to the surface.
The edges have been consolidated to avoid further losses to the lacquer but some restoration is present down these edges.
The hinges have been replaced.
Large piece of the surface missing apprx.10 cm on the last panel at the foot. Some other losses to the lacquer layer on the foot on the other side. 
Restoration more present to the lower parts of the panels
Some warping to the wood.
The two half panels in the centre are later than the other 6 panels and will have been added to lengthen or enable a separation of the screen. The decoration of the 2 half panels does not match when joined. They are clearly of a more recent material that has crackled differently.
Judging by the height of the small handles and the repainting and interventions along the base edge up to a height of approx. 10 cm, the screen may have been reduced in height by about 10 cm.

Without close scrutiny, the screen remains highly attractive and decorative, being impressive in its size and scenery depicted.
