COLLECTION CHARLES-ÉDOUARD DUFLON
La Galerie Témoin a vu le jour Grand’Rue, à Genève, à la fin des années 1950, avec Marcel de Schryver. Son beau-fils, Charles-Edouard Duflon, baigné dans cette atmosphère depuis l’enfance, a repris l’enseigne dans les années 1990 et s’est spécialisé dans les Arts Premiers, en particulier dans les arts d’Océanie, de sorte que le cabinet d’expertise Témoin était devenu une adresse incontournable en Suisse.
L’ensemble que nous présentons dans cette vente rend compte des objets d’Arts Premiers qui ornaient la galerie, mais aussi du personnage de Charles-Edouard Duflon, un caractère fort, un collectionneur curieux et éclectique, qui se passionnait pour tous les arts contemporains : sculptures, tableaux, figurines, verres de Murano, nus féminins,…
